We've been advocating for the students and families of Pasadena Unified.
Since 1915.
What we stand for.
Since our founding in 1915, PTA Council of PUSD has been determined to make an impact for families in Pasadena, Altadena and Sierra Madre. We bring our collective experience, leadership, volunteerism and passion for advocacy to all PTA units at the public schools of Pasadena Unified. Through all of our endeavors, we hope to help bring opportunity to all children and their families, especially those who need it the most.
You'll find us at the intersection of our public schools and the communities they serve.
Advocacy
First, we stand behind all students and families in PUSD and advocate for their education, health, and well-being. But we also advocate for those PTA leaders at each school site who lift the boxes, collate the folders, host the science nights, carnivals, book drives and all the things that bring schools closer to their community. We succeed when they do and we help develop their potential, through leadership training.
Outreach
Good public schools make for great communities. PTA sits at the intersection between each school and those who have a stake in its success. Public school works best when active conversations exist between our community and those we entrust to provide opportunities for our children. Our Council strives to facilitate those conversations by helping tell the stories that invite everyone to be a part of them.
Engagement
At Council, we care about the size of your heart, not your wallet. We invite those in Pasadena, Altadena and Sierra Madre to take part in the story of public education in their community. Equitable educations happen when we all lend a hand, do the hard work, and share in the success from seeing good things take flight.
